Lily

My Dad just came home and told me that Lily isn't suffering any more. Then he started crying. I'm not sure what that means. He didn't bring her home with him. I think someone must have took her for a walk.

My Mom just gave me a bath and told me that she's going to spoil me like crazy tonight. I'm getting a blow dry, a brushing, and pink toe nail polish. And later my no-good uncles, Ryan and Darren, are coming over to wrestle with me. I'm going to chase them around real good. But, I keep looking around and can't find Lily. I want to brag about my special treatment and make her jealous but I can't find her.

A Sad, Sad Puppy

My dad told me that this evening my cousin and best friend, Lily, will be going away forever. I'm not sure what to think or really what they mean. Lily doesn't wrestle with me much any more. My dad cooks her ground beef, chicken, hot dogs, rice, and gives here lots of dog bones and puppy jerky, but she lets me eat most of it. She tells me that she's not really all that hungry. My dad has been hollering at me a lot when he catches me eating all those goodies he leaves out for Lily. I feel bad about eating her treats (sometimes), but hey, it would be a shame to let it go to waste, right? Last night Mommy and Daddy were giving Lily lots of love and crying, so I climbed in their laps and cuddled with them and dad told me he'll be needing me to do that a lot this weekend.

Hello world! Good news. My cousin Lily is doing great for now. We are thankful every day she is still with us. She's lost a lot of weight, and has some trouble breathing, but otherwise she seems to be her normal self. Tomorrow Lily's family is coming to see here. They've been in Japan for over two years and we're super excited to see them. Lily and I get to meet Lily's new little girl, Sadie Grace, who is the same age as my little boy. Sadie was born in Japan and we've never seen her before.

Lily's vet, Dr. Cat, recommended some medicine that is making her feel better for now. Her appetite has returned and she's stopped losing weight. My Dad makes Lily food from ground beef and rice. I'm super jealous, but whenever Mom and Dad aren't watching I steal Lily's food. I know, this is a bit selfish, but hey---it's ground beef! She doesn't always eat it and I'd hate for it to go to waste. I'm just being froogle!

I do worry though that after Lily is gone I might be cold at night. I don't know what I'll do without my cuddle buddy.

My Cousin Lily

My parents just talked our vet and my cousin Lily is doing really bad. The vet has found some problems in her tummy and we are all wondering right now how much longer she'll be with us.

I'm a sad, sad puppy today.

Bad News!

My parents just got off the phone with the vet. My cousin Lily is sick and the vet wants to run lots of tests on her! She's lost a lot of weight and appears to have something wrong with her digestive system! I hope she's okay. More pics of Lily and I will come soon! I promise.

Good news is that the vet says I'm a perfect dog in every way (which I already knew). And today the vet took a picture of me to hang in their office!

In Which Friday Tries to Bark

Here is a video, my friends, in which my new little sister, Friday, tries to bark and start some trouble with me! Being the spophistimucated big sis' that I am, I kept my cool the entire time---even when she runs head first into a piece of wood (which didn't get caught on film, but you can sure hear the 'bonk' right at the beginning)!
